Influyendo en el ciberespacio con humor: imemes y otros fenómenos

Resumen
Una de las principales formas de hacer comentario social es por medio del humor. La tecnologÃa en Internet permite transmitir de manera eficiente dichos comentarios a través de vÃnculos; o bien, ofrece herramientas para formular y distribuir nuevos mensajes propios. Las imemes, aquello que es retransmitido y modificado por los usuarios, constituyen una de las formas más fáciles de retransmitir humorÃsticamente crÃticas sociales.
Es importante identificar y estudiar fenómenos de los que ya se tiene conocimiento en la red, asà como descubrir nuevos, al momento de formular o enfrentarse a imemes con agenda polÃtica y social. Entre estos fenómenos a considerar están la ley de Poe; el efecto Streisand; los hoaxes; la resignificación; y las memes forzadas, ascendidas y desacreditadas. No tener en cuenta estos fenómenos, o hacerlo de manera ingenua, puede provocar que las acciones para crear, utilizar o contrarrestar imemes sean contraproducentes.
Abstract
One of the main ways to make social commentary is by humoristic media. The technology on Internet allows an efficient transmission of such commentaries by linking it directly, and offers tools to create and distribute new messages. The imemes, that is, everything which is retransmitted and modified by the users, is one of the ways that allows retransmitting social critics with added sense of humor.
It is important to study and to identify already known by the web communities phenomena, as well as to discover new phenomena when we are creating or facing imemes with social and political agenda. Among these phenomena we should consider, the PoeÂ’s law, the Streisand effect, the hoaxes, the resignifying, and the forced, ascended and discredited memes. Not taking these phenomena into account, or doing it naively, might lead to counterproductive actions when trying to create, to use or to counter imemes.
